Hebrews 8 - Day 203 (link to reading plan)
Scripture: Hebrews 8:8-13 Observation: The author explains why the second covenant is better than the first. Application: From my personal experience, newer doesn't always necessarily mean better. However, in terms of our relationship with God, in my opinion the new covenant is much better. The first covenant was designed to teach the Israelites that they needed God but that realization never really sunk in because it was based on a lot of rules. In the new covenant, God said, "I will put my laws in their minds, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people," meaning that it's personal and based on His grace. Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your grace. Comments are closed.
