1 Samuel 17 - Day 351 (link to today's reading)
Scripture: 1 Samuel 17:26 & 30 Observation: The author introduces us to one of the greatest stories in the bible, the tale of a teenage boy who overcomes a giant warrior named Goliath. Application: Interestingly, most sermons overlook verses 26 & 30 when the triumphant story of David and Goliath is told. I only mention this because David was human just like you and me. David was astonished to learn what the reward would be for the man who could rid Isreal of this pagan barbarian. Being confident in his abilities, he was genuinely surprised that no one had taken the challenge and earned the prize. Prayer: Lord, please help me to develop my skills to be as confident and faithful as Your servant David. Comments are closed.
