Scripture: 2 Chronicles 3:3-4

Observation: After years of planning, securing materials, skilled craftsmen, and general laborers, Solomon began to build the Temple of the Lord.

Application: The temple was 90 feet long and 30 feet wide, so it was about 2700 sq ft.  The Most Holy Place was 30 feet wide and 30 feet deep.  Huh.  Our modest home has a 2400 sq ft floor plan with about 750 sq feet dedicated to the living/dining area.  In perspective, the temple wasn't large, but it was impressively grand because YHWH was there.  

Prayer:  The heavens and the earth cannot contain You, Lord...
