Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:5

Observation: In Paul’s second letter to Timothy, he begins by reminding him of his faithful lineage.

Application: My mother faithfully prayed for her wayward son to know Jesus for a really long time.  It only took me twelve years to finally open my eyes and come to the realization that Jesus loves me and wants to have a relationship with me.  Thank God for my mother’s faithful determination to see her family come to faith in Jesus.   

I would guess that the majority of Christians today had someone faithfully praying for them to know the truth, the way and the life.  Now, it’s our turn to do the same for our family and friends who are still seeking answers to their questions.

Prayer: Thank You Lord for those who have gone before me.  Please help me to be as faithful as they were in sharing Your love.
