Deuteronomy 3 - Day 211 (link to reading plan)
Scripture: Deuteronomy 3:21-29 Observation: As Moses continues his narrative, he reminds the Israelites that because God was angry with them, he wouldn't be allowed to enter the promised land. Application: The bible tells us that Moses was the meekest man alive. Yet, because he is human, he has character flaws just like the rest of us. Moses has every right to be bitter towards the rebellious Israelites who tested God in the desert and incited him to sin in anger. However, all of those people have died and Moses is still addressing their children as if it was them who rebelled against God. I'm not saying that it is easy to take ownership of our mistakes, but apparently, Moses hasn't and still blames "them." Yeah, I'd probably be bitter too, considering what Moses had to put up with. Prayer: Lord, please help me take this lesson to heart and be sanctified in the process. Comments are closed.
