Exodus 1 - Day 54 (link to reading plan)
Scripture: Exodus 1:8-10 8 Eventually, a new king came to power in Egypt who knew nothing about Joseph or what he had done. 9 He said to his people, “Look, the people of Israel now outnumber us and are stronger than we are. 10 We must make a plan to keep them from growing even more. If we don’t, and if war breaks out, they will join our enemies and fight against us. Then they will escape from the country.” Observation: After a change in leadership, the Israelites were no longer appreciated in Egypt. Application: Joseph's heroic deeds were quickly forgotten and the only thing that remained was a peculiar people who worshipped one God. In one hundred years, we'll all be forgotten but our influence on those we love will remain. Our greatest legacy we can leave our loved ones is our relationship with Jesus. Prayer: Lord Jesus, as You revealed Yourself to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and their descendants, please reveal Yourself to my children and their families. Comments are closed.
