Scripture: Exodus 35:1-3

Observation: Anyone who works on the Sabbath day must be put to death.

Application: The consequences for violating the Sabbath day was the same as murdering someone.  Huh?  It's as if God is saying that we need our rest and when we choose not to take time off, that we're "working ourselves to death."

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the gift of Sabbath.
