Scripture: Jeremiah 38:1-10 Commentary (theologyofwork.org): ...the nameless Gentile slave (Ebed-melech simply means “slave of the king”) who stands out as faithful. Ebed-melech’s action on the prophet’s behalf illustrated Jeremiah’s message that faithfulness to God outweighs all other workplace considerations. Application: Ebed-melech's fear (reverence) of (for) YHWH compelled him to do what was right. We have that same opportunity today. Prayer: Lord, I give You my heart... Comments are closed.
