Numbers 10 - Day 169 (link to reading plan)
Scripture: Numbers 10:33-36 Commentary: Moses’ words express two key biblical themes: the victory of the Lord over his enemies; and the abiding presence of God with his people. These were displayed as the ark set out, and as it came to rest again in the centre of the camp. Since this was the supreme climax of almost one year’s preparation (Ex. 19:1), we must pay careful attention to it. Naylor, P. J. (1994). Numbers. In D. A. Carson, R. T. France, J. A. Motyer, & G. J. Wenham (Eds.), New Bible commentary: 21st century edition (4th ed., p. 179). Leicester, England; Downers Grove, IL: Inter-Varsity Press. Application: God leads the way and clears the path for us so instead of running ahead of Him, learn to follow. Prayer: Lord, please help me to recognize Your presence so I can discern the direction You are leading me. Comments are closed.
